Choose a song or monologue that you really connect to, are comfortable with and know well, and that you LOVE to perform. Learning something new last minute is typically not the best approach to a successful audition. The production team wants to see you at your best as a vocalist and actor!
Your audition starts the second you enter the building from the people in the lobby to anyone who checks you in, to the accompanist and, finally, the production staff! Be respectful, courteous, and happy to be there!
Hydrate well the day before your audition and make sure to get plenty of rest! Your body is your instrument and it needs to be well tended to and cared for. It is also a good idea to stretch/do yoga the day of and make sure you are physically relaxed and focused before auditioning or performing.
